How directly can members communicate what kind of connection they want?
How S4N reviews dating platforms.
A transparent system is more useful than a mysterious star rating.
1. Verify claims
Material product claims must be supported by current official documentation, policy pages, help centers, app-store documentation or another primary source. Third-party reporting can add context but should not be the only support for a product feature claim.
2. Rate evidence confidence
High means multiple current primary sources support the material claims. Medium means the official evidence is useful but incomplete. Low is not eligible for a strong recommendation.
3. Evaluate six dimensions
Can users control discovery, location precision, retention and media visibility?
What meaningful age, liveness, identity and safety tools are documented and usable?
Can users manage messaging, media, calls, block/report and unwanted contact?
How well does the actual product model fit spontaneous/casual intent?
Are pricing, paid features and commercial relationships understandable?
4. Gate the final score
No final numerical S4N score is published until a hands-on test records account creation, discovery flow, privacy controls, verification path, messaging behavior, deletion path and paid-feature behavior.
5. Separate money from opinion
Affiliate eligibility, payout structure and sponsorship are commercial metadata. They do not change editorial evidence, capability labels or final test results.
6. Refresh and correct
Each source has a review date. Stage 1.3 automatically tracks source and hands-on-test freshness, queues stale pages for review, and records corrections through a statused workflow rather than silently overwriting history.
